The Fishing Experience
Your Day. Your Style. Let's Go Fishing.
No two groups step onto the boat looking for exactly the same day—and I wouldn't want them to.

Maybe you've never fished saltwater before and you're ready to learn. Maybe you're bringing the kids and hoping to watch them catch their first fish. Or maybe you've been fishing your whole life and you're ready to grab a rod and get after it.

We'll be fishing the Upper Laguna Madre for redfish, speckled trout, black drum and flounder, but how we spend the day depends on the people aboard and what the fish and conditions give us to work with.

Want to fish hard? Let's fish hard. Want some help learning? I'll show you what you need to know. Want to relax, enjoy being on the water and catch some fish along the way? That's a pretty good day too.

There isn't one right way to enjoy a fishing trip. Let's make it your kind of day.
Fish the Way You Want
Live Bait. Artificial Lures. Or a Little of Both.
Some people love watching a popping cork disappear. Others would rather spend the day casting artificial lures and working for the bite. If you like both, we'll mix it up.

Never done any of it before? That's fine. I'll help you with casting, bait, working a lure and fighting the fish. If you've been fishing for years, grab a rod and let's get after them.

Kids are welcome too. There's nothing quite like watching a kid hook into a fish and realizing they're the one who has to get it to the boat. Sometimes that first fish becomes the part of the trip everybody remembers.

Want to keep some legal fish for dinner? Great. Prefer catch-and-release? That's great too. If you reach the legal harvest limit for a species you're keeping, that doesn't necessarily mean we're finished fishing. When regulations allow, we can continue with catch-and-release or change things up and target another species.

We'll adjust how we fish as the day develops. The goal isn't to force everyone into the same fishing style. It's to find what works for your crew, the conditions and the fish—and have some fun doing it.
More Than Just the Fish
Sometimes the Best Part of the Day
Isn't on the End of the Line.
The Upper Laguna Madre is a pretty incredible place to spend a few hours. Some days we're moving around looking for fish. Other days we find a good bite and stay with it. And every once in a while, it's nice to just stop for a few minutes.

Maybe we stretch our legs, grab a snack or let the kids explore a shoreline for a bit. When the location and conditions are right, experienced anglers may even have an opportunity to step out and do a little wade fishing. It's all part of the fishing day—not a separate excursion or sightseeing trip.

Of course, we're out there to fish, and I'll put in the effort to give your crew the best fishing experience I reasonably can. But nobody can make the fish bite, and fishing results are never guaranteed.

What I can control is the effort, the planning and the kind of day we have on the water.

Catch some fish. Laugh a little. Enjoy the Upper Laguna Madre. Make a memory or two.

That's a pretty good fishing day.
A DAY BUILT AROUND YOUR CREW
First Trip or You Fish All the Time
We’ll Make the Day Work for You.
Every trip is a little different because every crew is different. Maybe you’re bringing the kids out for their first saltwater fishing trip, maybe you just want a relaxed morning on the water, or maybe you’re ready to spend the day chasing fish.

We’ll adjust the pace, fishing style and game plan around your crew and the conditions that day. We can fish live bait, throw lures or mix it up. The goal is simple — have a good time, catch some fish and make it a day you’ll want to do again.
